According to the label, pour 1 glass (200 ml) of boiling water over 1 teaspoon (2 g) of the chopped herb and leave it to infuse for 15 minutes under a lid, so that the aromatic essential compounds do not escape with the steam — they are what give the herb its characteristic warm, spicy aroma.
After infusing, strain the drink. The label specifies the proportion and infusion time precisely, so they should not be adjusted to taste. Oregano goes well with other herbs — for example, mint, wild thyme or lemon balm — if you want a more complex flavour profile.
Adults take the infusion 1/4 glass (50 ml) twice a day with meals. Keep the prepared infusion in the fridge.
Store the dried herb in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and direct light — this preserves its aroma throughout its shelf life.
