What is the best way to build the balm into your daily care routine? — Lip Balm with Calendula Oil and Alpine Herbs, 4.8 g, Laura Conti

The balm is most convenient to use at three moments when the lips lose moisture most actively:

  • In the morning before going outside — a thin layer creates a barrier against wind, cold and temperature changes before the skin has a chance to dry out.
  • During the day in rooms with dry air — air conditioning and heating reduce air humidity, and the lips lose moisture even when it is warm. A small stick is easy to keep on your desk or in your pocket.
  • In the evening after lipstick or matte textures — dense and matte lipstick formulas often dry out the skin. The balm helps soften the lips after make-up removal.

Apply it in a thin layer — that is enough. A thick layer gives no noticeable advantage and uses up the product faster. With moderate use, the 4.8 g stick lasts for several weeks of regular application.

If your lips are very dry or peeling, the balm helps soften the surface but does not replace gentle mechanical exfoliation — you can do this once a week with a damp soft toothbrush or a special lip scrub, and then apply the balm.
