According to the manufacturer's instructions: heat the paraffin until it has melted completely; pour the melted paraffin into a mould and let it cool to 48–52 °C; apply the cooled paraffin to the chosen area of the body and cover with a blanket. The treatment lasts 20–60 minutes, and a rest of 30–40 minutes is recommended afterwards. A course is 10–12 treatments.

General precautions (not a manufacturer's instruction): before applying, test the temperature of the paraffin on a small area of skin — it should be warm but not scalding; do not heat the paraffin over an open flame without controlling the temperature; do not apply it to irritated, damaged or inflamed skin. For external use only; avoid contact with the eyes (if it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water). During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use; not recommended for children under 2 years.
