How should this elixir be taken, and for how long?

The specific dosage and regimen are stated on the product packaging — these are what you should go by, as the manufacturer sets them for the specific concentration of the extract (1:5). The general principle for herbal supplements like this is that they are not taken as a one-off ‘when needed’, as a painkiller would be, for example. The effect of plant extracts builds up gradually, so such products are usually included in the diet in courses: the recommended course for this elixir is 3–5 months, followed by a 1-week break.

The liquid format is easy to add to room-temperature water or tea that is not hot. How to take it: 1 teaspoon is diluted in 50 ml of water and taken 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals (daily dose: 15 ml).

The elixir is stored at up to +25 °C out of the reach of children; the opened bottle can conveniently be kept in the fridge.

People with chronic conditions or a sensitivity to fungi, as well as those taking other supplements or medicines, should consult a doctor or pharmacist before starting to take it.
