How do you choose the right size of the support? — Ankle support neoprene 413-2

According to the card, to choose the size you need to measure the circumference of the ankle joint under the ankle bone: size 1 — 20–24 cm, size 2 — 23–26 cm, size 3 — 26–31 cm, size 4 — 28–34 cm. This model (413-2) is size 2, that is, a circumference of 23–26 cm; the height of the support is 21 cm. The card does not specify what to do if your circumference is on the border between two sizes.

General information (not a manufacturer's instruction): it is easier to measure the circumference with a tape measure, at rest and not after exertion, when the leg may be swollen; the support should fit snugly but not constrict — in case of numbness, impaired circulation or swelling it must be taken off. If you are on the border between sizes or are choosing a support after an injury, it is better to check the size with a doctor or an orthopaedic-products specialist.
