How should you wear and care for a shungite pendant? — "Stone" made of shungite 6-9 g

Shungite is a fairly dense stone, but like most natural minerals it can scratch in contact with harder materials or chip under a strong impact. So it's better to store the pendant separately from metal jewellery and not wear it during active physical exertion or when working with tools.

For cleaning, it is enough to wipe the stone with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Aggressive cleaning agents, ultrasonic baths and long soaking are not recommended — they can damage the surface or the cord.

The cord to which the pendant is attached may stretch or lose its look over time — especially with regular contact with water. If you wear the piece every day, it's worth checking the condition of the fastening periodically.

As for combining with clothing, the pendant is versatile: the matte dark stone looks good both with plain basics and alongside other jewellery made of natural materials — wood, bone, other minerals.
