Before application, protect the skin around the growth with a rich cream or petroleum jelly — this creates a barrier that stops the liquid from spreading onto healthy areas. Apply the product strictly as a spot treatment, only to the growth itself, without going beyond its edges.

Potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide are active alkaline ingredients that soften and gradually break down the keratinised layer of cells. This is why even a small amount getting onto intact skin can cause irritation or a chemical burn. After application, do not touch the treated area with your hands, and wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

Normally the treated area darkens — this is the expected reaction to the product, after which natural peeling begins. Do not try to speed up the process mechanically: do not pick off or scrape away the growth before it comes away on its own.
