How should VITATEKA camphor spirit be applied, and to which areas? — Camphor Spirit 10% 25 ml - Vitateka

The solution is applied directly to the skin in the desired area — usually the muscles of the back, shoulders or legs or the area around the joints. Shake the bottle before use; the product is used 2–3 times a day for a course of 7–10 days. A small amount of the solution is spread with light rubbing movements: the alcohol base evaporates quickly, first giving a slight cooling sensation, after which the camphor begins to irritate the surface receptors of the skin and the characteristic feeling of warmth appears.

A few practical points:

• Intact skin only. Do not apply to cuts, grazes, or inflamed or irritated areas — alcohol and camphor will cause severe stinging in such cases.
• Avoid sensitive areas. The face, neck, mucous membranes, groin and armpits are not suitable places for this product because of the high concentration of alcohol and camphor.
• Skin reaction. Moderate redness and warmth are the expected effect. If severe burning, marked irritation or a rash appears, stop applying it and rinse the skin with water; if an allergic reaction occurs, consult a doctor. The product is not used in case of hypersensitivity to its ingredients.
• After application, it is best not to wrap the area in thick fabric straight away — let the product absorb a little and take effect; then, if you wish, you can cover it with a warm scarf or bandage to enhance the warming effect.
• Children should not be treated with the product without a specialist’s recommendation — camphor in high concentrations may be too intense for children’s skin.

The 25 ml bottle is convenient for targeted use: it is easy to put in a sports bag or keep in the home medicine cabinet for occasional rubs.
