The gel is applied precisely, directly to the target area of skin, avoiding the surrounding healthy skin. This is essential: the formula contains acids (acetic and citric) with a keratolytic action that soften and exfoliate the keratinised layer, so contact with unaffected skin is undesirable.
Before application, it is recommended to cleanse and dry the skin: this is standard practice for spot products and helps the active ingredients make better contact with the surface. Apply the smallest amount of gel needed to cover only the target area.
How often to use it depends on how your skin reacts. Start cautiously, once a day or every other day, and keep an eye on the condition of the area. The manufacturer warns that noticeable changes in the appearance of the skin are possible after application: this is an expected reaction to the active ingredients in the formula.
Do not use the gel on irritated, inflamed or damaged skin. Before first use, do a sensitivity test: apply a little gel to the inside of your wrist and wait 10 minutes.
