The loose format means that you prepare the infusion or decoction yourself — a classic herbal medicine approach that lets you fit the herb into your usual routine without capsules or tablets.
According to the label, the decoction is prepared as follows: pour a glass of hot boiled water over 1 tablespoon of the herb, heat in a water bath for 15 minutes, stirring frequently, then cool, strain and top up with boiled water to 200 ml; take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day. The tincture is made from 50 g of the root and 0.5 l of 40% alcohol, left to infuse for 7 days in a dark place, and taken as 20 drops 2 times a day, 30 minutes before meals.
A few practical points worth bearing in mind:
Timing: because of its tonic properties, rhodiola is usually not taken in the evening — it can make it harder to fall asleep. The morning or the first half of the day is a more suitable time.
Regularity: adaptogens usually produce a noticeable effect when taken as a course rather than as a one-off.
Storing the herb: dried herbs are stored in a dry place protected from light, away from strong odours — this preserves the quality of the plant material.
Freshness of the infusion: the prepared drink is best used on the day it is made rather than kept for a long time.
The product does not replace a balanced diet and is not intended for diagnosing or treating disease.
