How should ŽELANA magnesium salt be used — how much should I add and how long should the bath last?

The manufacturer gives a specific dose: for a full bath, half a packet of salt is dissolved in water at 37–38 °C. For local treatments (hand or foot soaks), a much smaller amount is enough.

The water should be comfortably warm, but not hot: water that is too hot puts more strain on the cardiovascular system and can dry the skin further. Bath time is 10–15 minutes. Staying in salty water for longer can have the opposite effect: the skin starts to lose moisture.

After the bath, it is recommended to gently pat the skin dry with a towel (without rubbing) and, if you like, apply a moisturising cream or oil — this helps preserve the softness that the sea salt in ŽELANA gives the skin.

Dissolve the salt just before the bath or pour it into the bath as it fills, so that it has time to disperse evenly in the water. The product is best stored in a dry place with the lid closed, so that the salt does not cake or absorb other odours.

If your skin is very sensitive or damaged, start with a short bath and less salt to see how it reacts. If you have a chronic skin condition or other health conditions, it is worth consulting a specialist before regular use.
