The best time to apply it is in the evening, after a shower or foot bath, when the skin is clean and slightly softened by the warm water. In this state it absorbs moisturising and softening ingredients better. Before applying, pat the skin dry: any water left on it dilutes the cream and reduces its concentration on the surface.
The cream is applied directly to the heels and other areas of rough or dry skin and rubbed in lightly until absorbed. If the skin is very dry and prone to cracking, you can put on cotton socks after applying — they create a light occlusive effect and help the ingredients stay on the skin longer, preventing them from evaporating.
The urea and lactic acid in the formula work gradually: urea attracts moisture and softens the horny layer, while lactic acid promotes gentle exfoliation of dead skin cells. This is not an instant effect — heel skin renews slowly, so regularity is more important than occasional intensive treatments.
In addition, once a week you can use a pumice stone or a soft file before applying the cream — mechanically removing the top layer of dead skin cells helps the active ingredients reach deeper layers. However, if there are cracks or irritation from the file, it is better to refrain until the skin has recovered.
