How should DR.MÜLLER glycerin suppositories be used correctly?

The suppository is inserted rectally while lying on your side with your knees bent. It is recommended to wash your hands before inserting it. Remove the suppository from its packaging and gently insert it into the rectum, blunt end first, to a depth of about 2–3 cm.

After insertion, it is advisable to remain lying down for a few minutes so that the suppository does not come out too early and has time to start working. Glycerin draws moisture into the rectum, softening the contents, and at the same time gently stimulates the urge to have a bowel movement — the effect usually occurs within 15–30 minutes, although the time may vary.

The suppositories are intended for one-off or short-term use for occasional constipation. They should not be used regularly without a specialist's recommendation: if you often have difficulty emptying your bowels, it is better to see a doctor to find out the cause.

If the mucous membrane is sensitive, a slight burning sensation or local discomfort is possible — this is an expected reaction to glycerin. If the discomfort is severe or pain, blood or nausea appear, stop using them and consult a specialist.
