How long can the OLKO pepper plaster stay on the skin, and how do you know when it is time to remove it?

A pepper plaster works thanks to capsicum extract, which irritates superficial nerve endings and increases blood flow to the area where it is applied. The plaster can be worn for up to 48 hours, but the intensity of the sensation varies considerably from person to person, so within that time go primarily by your own skin's reaction.

Remove the plaster immediately if you notice at least one of the following signs:

  • Pronounced burning: a sensation that builds up and becomes hard to bear, rather than just pleasant warmth.
  • Irritation: itching, tingling or discomfort beyond the usual warming effect.
  • Noticeable redness, especially if it spreads beyond the edges of the plaster or is accompanied by swelling.

After removing it, do not rub the skin, as this will increase the irritation. Rinse the area with cool water. If the redness or burning persists for a long time, see a specialist.

When using it for the first time, it is recommended to test the reaction on a small area and keep the plaster on for a short time, gradually increasing it as you learn how your skin reacts to the ingredient. People with sensitive skin should be particularly careful.

Do not apply the plaster to damaged, irritated or inflamed skin, as this may lead to severe irritation. If you are prone to allergic reactions, consult a specialist before use.
