Is this suitable if I have sensitive skin or use active ingredients like retinoids or exfoliating acids?

The product is labeled vegan and dermatologically tested, which indicates it has undergone irritation assessment under clinical supervision. However, the manufacturer explicitly advises that if your skin is very sensitive or reactive, or if you are currently using strong exfoliating acids (such as high-percentage AHAs, BHAs) or retinoids, you should introduce any new cosmetic product gently and monitor how your skin responds.

Practical approach: before applying to the full face, test a small amount on the inner forearm or behind the ear for two to three consecutive days. If no redness, stinging, or itching occurs, apply a thin layer to the face every other night for the first week, then increase to daily use if tolerated. When using alongside retinoids or acids, consider alternating nights — for example, use the gel mask on nights you skip the active — to avoid overloading the barrier.

Avoid applying the gel to irritated, broken, or freshly exfoliated skin (such as after a professional peel or microdermabrasion) until the barrier has recovered. The hyaluronic acid in the gel binds water at the surface and is generally well tolerated, but any new ingredient can trigger a reaction in compromised skin. If persistent irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
