This bar is formulated without triclosan and includes plantain extract, which has a tradition in Eastern European cosmetics for its soothing, skin-conditioning effect. Tea tree oil is the main cosmetic active, chosen to help reduce the feeling of surface impurities and give a fresher character. Together they aim to cleanse thoroughly while feeling less aggressive than strongly degreasing bars.
That said, it is still a soap — alkaline by nature — and even mild soaps can disrupt the skin barrier if used very frequently on already dry or reactive skin. For a child with known sensitivity, eczema, or very dry patches, start by using it once a day or every other day on a small area (inner forearm) and observe for 24 hours. If the skin feels tight, looks red, or itches, reduce frequency or switch to a syndet (synthetic detergent) cleanser with a lower pH. Always rinse thoroughly; residue left on the skin can increase irritation risk. After bathing, pat dry and apply a fragrance-free moisturiser while the skin is still damp. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist or paediatrician.
