Is this shampoo suitable if my scalp is oily or itchy but my hair lengths are dry or coloured?

RADICAL Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is described as suitable for people who notice flaking, itching or an oily scalp, and it is gentle enough for frequent use on the full length of the hair. However, the best way to use it is still scalp-first. Oily roots and visible flakes need the most attention, while dry, coloured or chemically treated lengths usually benefit from less direct cleansing and more conditioning.

Apply the shampoo to the roots and massage the scalp, then allow the lather to rinse through the rest of the hair. This cleanses the lengths without making them the main target of the wash. If your ends are porous, coloured, bleached or prone to tangling, follow with a nourishing conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends. Avoid applying rich conditioner directly to an oily scalp unless your hairdresser or scalp specialist has advised otherwise, as it may weigh the roots down or make them feel greasy sooner.

Use the shampoo two or three times per week. On other wash days, a milder shampoo can be used if you prefer to wash more often. This alternating approach can be helpful when the scalp needs anti-dandruff care but the hair fibre does not tolerate strong cleansing at every wash.

If itching is accompanied by strong redness, soreness, broken skin or symptoms that continue despite several weeks of regular use, it is better to ask a dermatologist or trichologist for advice rather than repeatedly changing shampoos.
