Is this scrub suitable for sensitive skin or right after shaving?

Caution is advisable here. This scrub exfoliates mechanically with coconut flakes, and any physical exfoliation may feel too intense on skin that is very sensitive, reactive, freshly shaved or currently irritated. It should not be used on damaged skin at all — that includes cuts, sunburn, active rashes or any broken areas.

If your skin is sensitive but generally tolerates body scrubs, a few adjustments make the experience gentler:

  • Test it first on a small, less delicate area such as the lower leg, and wait a day to see how your skin reacts.
  • Use very light pressure and short massage time — the flakes lift dead surface cells on their own without vigorous rubbing.
  • Leave a gap between shaving and scrubbing. A common approach is to exfoliate before shaving rather than after, or to wait at least a day after shaving, since freshly shaved skin has a compromised surface and reacts more readily.

Stop using the product if discomfort or redness appears. The coconut oil in the formula does help reduce the feeling of dryness after exfoliation, but that softening effect does not make the mechanical action itself milder, so how your own skin tolerates friction is the deciding factor.
