This makes it more suitable for skin that needs a richer night finish than a very light gel or lotion can provide.
The formula combines sodium hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid that helps attract and hold moisture in the upper layers of the skin, with wheat germ, almond, linseed and olive oils, which soften the skin surface and help slow moisture loss. This pairing is useful when the skin lacks both water and comfort: the humectant supports hydration, while the oils add a cushioning, emollient feel overnight.
If your skin is oily or easily congested, this may feel richer than you prefer, especially if you usually choose gel textures. If your skin is combination, you can apply it mainly to drier areas such as the cheeks and use a smaller amount on the T-zone.
