The product is formulated with cucumber extract specifically to counteract the tightening sensation that peel-off masks often leave behind. Cucumber is widely used in cosmetics for its soothing and hydrating properties, and in this format it helps the skin feel softer and more comfortable after the film is removed. However, the mechanical action of peeling off a dried film inherently exerts some physical stress on the skin surface.
If your skin is very sensitive, reactive, rosacea-prone, or currently irritated (sunburn, active breakouts, broken barrier, recent chemical peel or retinoid irritation), the peel-off step may provoke redness, stinging or further barrier disruption. In those cases it is safer to choose a rinse-off or leave-on hydrating mask instead. If you still wish to try it, do a patch test first: apply a small amount on the jawline or inner forearm, let it dry fully, peel off and wait 24 hours. Discontinue immediately if persistent redness, itching or discomfort occurs.
Avoid the eye area entirely, and do not use on broken skin, cuts or active inflammation. Limit use to once a week at most, and always follow with a fragrance-free moisturiser to support barrier recovery.
