Is this effective for sunburn or after-sun care, and how does it compare to a cream?

After sun exposure, the skin's barrier is compromised and water loss accelerates. Dexpanthenol converts in the epidermis to pantothenic acid, which participates in lipid synthesis and helps the stratum corneum hold water more effectively. Aloe vera's polysaccharides form a light hydrating film and its plant compounds reduce the sensation of heat. Together they address the two main after-sun complaints: dehydration and surface irritation.

The aerosol format has a practical advantage over creams on sunburned shoulders, back, or legs: you cover a large area in seconds without mechanical rubbing, which can aggravate erythema. A cream may feel richer and stay longer on very dry patches (elbows, heels), so some people follow the spray with a thin layer of body lotion once the initial heat has subsided.

Reapply after a cool shower and before bed for the first 24–48 hours. If blistering, fever, or severe pain develops, treat it as a medical concern — this product is not a burn treatment.
