Is this cream-balm a good choice for sensitive skin?

This balm may be helpful when sensitive-feeling skin is mainly dry, tight or rough, because its emollient base helps reduce moisture loss and makes the skin surface feel more protected. However, it is not a minimal-ingredient formula. Alongside petrolatum, mineral oil, glycerin and oils, it contains lanolin and several botanical components, including aloe, chamomile, peppermint, St. John’s wort, celandine, mumiyo and sea buckthorn.

If your skin often reacts to herbal extracts, fragranced plant ingredients, lanolin or rich occlusive balms, test it first on a small area such as the inner forearm. Apply a small amount and wait to see whether redness, itching, burning or increased irritation appears. If the test area remains comfortable, you can try it on the intended body area, still starting with a thin layer.

Peppermint and active botanical extracts can feel noticeable on delicate skin, so avoid using the balm on the face unless you already know your skin tolerates similar rich herbal products. Do not use it around the eyes or on heavily damaged skin, and discontinue use if the area becomes more irritated rather than calmer.
