The formula is designed to be lightweight compared to heavier oil-based masks, but fine hair has less surface area to distribute product, so over-application can still leave it looking flat or greasy. The key is dosage and placement. Start with a hazelnut-sized amount for shoulder-length hair — less if shorter — and emulsify it between your palms before applying exclusively from mid-lengths down. Avoid the scalp and the first 5–7 cm from the roots entirely. Rinse thoroughly with cool water; any residue near the roots will reduce volume. If your hair is very fine and gets weighed down easily, you can also try applying the conditioner before shampoo (reverse washing): work it into dry lengths, leave 3–5 minutes, then shampoo as normal. This gives the smoothing benefits without leave-on residue. On days when hair feels especially tangled, a wide-tooth comb in the shower while the conditioner is in helps distribute it evenly with minimal product.
