Fine hair can benefit from the smoothing and hydrating effects of this balm, but it also gets weighed down more easily than thick or coarse hair. The formula includes nourishing ingredients such as deepwater Sakhalin laminaria and hydrolyzed silk, which are meant to condition without making the hair feel heavy. Still, the right amount matters more than the product itself.
Start with a pea-sized or smaller amount, depending on your length. Rub it between your palms and apply it mainly from mid-length to ends, avoiding the scalp. Fine hair often does not need product at the roots, especially if the scalp tends to get oily. You can always add a little more if the ends still feel rough, but you cannot easily remove too much balm without washing again.
If you use several rich repair products at once, introduce this balm gradually. That way you can see how your hair responds before adding another layer. If the hair looks flat or feels coated, reduce the amount or use it only on the most damaged ends.
This balm is not intended to add volume; its purpose is hydration and manageability. For fine hair, the goal is to get smoothness and slip without sacrificing body, so a lighter application is usually the best starting point.
