The panthenol 7 % spray is formulated for external cosmetic use on intact or mildly irritated skin, so it can be used on children who have normal skin. However, because the product contains menthol, which can be irritating to very sensitive skin, a patch test is recommended before wider use.
Spray a small amount on the inner forearm of the child, wait 10 minutes, and watch for redness or itching. If the skin tolerates the spray, it can be applied to larger areas such as the back or legs after outdoor play. Avoid spraying near the eyes or on any open wounds.
For infants or toddlers, it is safer to use a panthenol cream rather than the aerosol spray, as the cream can be applied directly without the risk of propellant inhalation. Always keep the bottle out of reach of young children to prevent accidental ingestion.
If you have concerns about your child’s skin or are using prescription treatments, consult a pediatrician before adding this spray to their routine.
