The formula is designed for most skin types, but physical exfoliation inherently carries more irritation risk for sensitive, reactive, or very dry skin. If you fall into those categories, take extra precautions: shorten the massage phase to 15–20 seconds with very light pressure, and reduce the leave-on time to 3–5 minutes. Consider using it only once every two weeks at first.
Always avoid the eye area and any active breakouts, cuts, or inflamed patches. If the skin stings during application (beyond a mild tingle), rinse immediately. After rinsing, apply a fragrance-free moisturizer with ceramides, panthenol, or centella asiatica to support barrier recovery.
Patch-test before the first full-face use: apply a small amount behind the ear or on the jawline, leave for 5 minutes, rinse, and wait 24 hours. Discontinue if redness, itching, or burning persists. Consult a dermatologist before adding any new exfoliating product if you have a diagnosed skin condition (eczema, rosacea, psoriasis) or are using prescription topicals.
