Is Botanika Lavender Essential Oil pure lavender oil or a diluted mixture?

This product contains one ingredient only: lavender essential oil. The plant used is Lavandula angustifolia, and the oil is obtained by steam distillation, the traditional method for capturing the volatile aromatic compounds of the plant. There is no added carrier oil, base oil, or dilution in the bottle, which means you always work with a concentrated essential oil.

Because it is not pre-diluted, it behaves differently from a massage oil or a scented cosmetic product. You normally add it in very small amounts to a carrier oil, cream, or bath blend. For this reason, a 10 ml bottle is meant to last for many uses. When looking at the label of a pure essential oil, the composition usually lists the botanical source and the single oil, not a blend of oil and carrier. Here, that means lavender essential oil alone.
