Urea 10% is a well-known cosmetic moisturising ingredient. It attracts water and helps it remain in the upper layers of the skin, which is useful when the feet feel dry, tight or uncomfortable. At this concentration, urea also helps soften the hardened surface layer gradually, so it is often chosen for rough heels and dense dry patches rather than for light daily moisturising only.
Compared with a basic foot cream that mainly provides surface comfort, a cream with 10% urea is more targeted for areas where the skin has become thick, rough or less flexible. It may be particularly useful in the cold season, when foot skin loses moisture more easily, when wearing open shoes, or if your heels quickly become coarse from walking, standing for long periods or sports activity.
This product is still a cosmetic foot-care cream, so its role is hydration, softening and improving the feel and appearance of dry skin surface. It is not intended for medical treatment of deep fissures, severe irritation or skin conditions. If the skin is very painful, visibly inflamed or reacts strongly after application, stop using it and consider asking a qualified professional for advice.
