Peel-off strips are mechanical products, and on reactive skin they can feel intense. If your skin is reactive, very dry, irritated, or prone to broken capillaries, this format should be used cautiously. Broken capillaries are tiny damaged blood vessels near the surface that show up as fine red lines; the pulling force of a strip can strain that area, so do not apply the strip over them.
If you still want to try the product, start with a patch test on a small area such as the side of the face or behind the ear. Use the strip only on intact, unbroken skin. Avoid applying it over inflamed blemishes, sunburned skin, or any area that is already irritated. If the strip sticks too hard, do not pull it off forcefully; wet it and peel very slowly.
Allantoin in the formula is intended to help calm skin, and witch hazel extract adds an astringent feel, but these ingredients do not remove the mechanical load of the strip. Calming ingredients cannot guarantee that your particular skin will tolerate peel-off formats. If redness, stinging, or discomfort lasts longer than a short while after use, stop using the product. For ongoing skin concerns, ask a dermatologist whether this type of product is suitable for you.
