I have sensitive skin and an egg allergy — can I still use this mask?

This mask contains egg white protein (albumin), which creates the film-forming and tightening effect. If you have a known egg allergy, do not use it — even topical exposure can trigger a reaction in sensitised individuals.

For sensitive or reactive skin without egg allergy, a patch test is essential. Apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner forearm, let it dry fully, peel off, and wait 24 hours. Watch for redness, itching, burning, or bumps. If any appear, the product isn't suitable for your face.

Even with a negative patch test, start conservatively: use a thin layer on the T-zone only (forehead, nose, chin), leave on for the minimum time until dry, and limit to once every 10–14 days. Avoid the eye area, lips, and any broken or irritated skin — the peel-off action is mechanical and can aggravate compromised barriers.

After removal, apply a fragrance-free, barrier-supportive moisturiser with ingredients like ceramides, panthenol, or centella asiatica. Skip foaming cleansers, physical scrubs, and acid toners for 24 hours. If your skin feels "squeaky" tight or shows fine lines when you smile, that's a sign the barrier was stressed — extend the interval before next use.

Consult a dermatologist before using if you have rosacea, eczema, perioral dermatitis, or are on prescription topicals (tretinoin, adapalene, etc.). This is a cosmetic product, not a treatment for skin conditions.
