The formula contains several actives that are generally well tolerated but can trigger reactions in very reactive skin: Argireline (a synthetic peptide), hydrolysed elastin and collagen (animal-derived proteins), and squalene from shark oil. Melon extract is a botanical that rarely causes issues but is still a potential sensitiser. Before the first full application, do a patch test: apply a small amount of the essence from the sachet behind the ear or on the inner forearm, leave for 15 minutes, then rinse. Wait 24 hours — if no redness, itching, swelling, or burning appears, proceed to the face. During facial use, avoid the eye area entirely; the mask shape helps, but keep a safe margin. If you feel stinging, heat, or see rapid redness during the 15 minutes, remove immediately and rinse with cool water. Do not reapply that day. If you have known allergies to fish or marine derivatives, consult a dermatologist before use, as shark oil is a marine lipid. This mask is not intended for broken, inflamed, or sunburned skin.
