I have sensitive or reactive skin — can I still use this mask, and what precautions should I take?

The formula contains salicylic acid and tea tree essential oil — both are effective for congestion but can trigger irritation in reactive skin. If you have a history of sensitivity, rosacea, eczema, or a damaged moisture barrier, proceed cautiously.

Before the first full-face use, do a patch test: apply a small amount behind the ear or on the jawline, leave for the recommended time, rinse, and wait 24 hours. No itching, burning, or excessive redness means it's likely tolerable.

For the first few uses, reduce contact time — try 5 minutes instead of the full 10–15 — and limit to once a week. Apply a thin layer only to congested areas (typically the T-zone) rather than the whole face. Avoid the eye area entirely, and never apply on broken skin, active cold sores, or sunburn.

If you experience stinging that persists after rinsing, prolonged redness, or new flaking the next day, stop use and focus on barrier repair (ceramides, panthenol, centella asiatica, simple moisturisers) for at least a week before considering a retry at even lower frequency. Consult a dermatologist if you're using prescription topicals (e.g., topical antibiotics, azelaic acid, tretinoin) to confirm compatibility.
