I have sensitive or reactive skin and I already use retinoids or acids — can I still use this mask?

This mask is positioned for normal, combination and oily skin, and the Active C+ component is described as having good tolerance, including for more delicate skin types. So the formula is not aimed only at thick, resilient skin. However, the exfoliating work is done by glycolic acid, an active acid, and the product guidance advises introducing it thoughtfully if your skin is reactive or you already use retinoids, acids or strong exfoliants.

You can still use it, but with careful handling:

  • Patch test on a small area, such as behind the ear or along the jawline, a day or two before the first full application.
  • Do not apply it on the same day as other strong actives — for example, skip your retinol or acid serum that evening instead of layering both.
  • Keep the first contact time shorter than the maximum stated on the packaging and rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Do not follow with a scrub, a leave-on exfoliating toner, or another acid product.

If your skin is currently irritated, sunburned, peeling, or has open areas, postpone use until it settles. Exfoliating already-stressed skin only adds irritation. Redness, stinging, or persistent tightness after use are signs to cut back or pause. This is a cosmetic product, not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease; if you have a diagnosed skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, consult a qualified specialist first.
