I have dry, tight skin in winter. Is this lotion enough, or should I use a body butter instead?

Skin Super Good Strawberry Vacation is made for dry or dehydrated skin that needs softness without a heavy finish. Its formula brings together glycerin to pull water into the outer layers and reduce that tight feeling after washing, sunflower seed oil and sweet almond oil to reinforce the skin barrier, and shea butter to soften rough places like elbows, knees and shins. For normal dry-skin tightness, especially after a hot shower or in dry winter air, this lotion can be enough as a daily step.

If your skin is already very rough, flaky or cracked, a lightweight lotion will often be too thin to keep moisture locked in for long. A richer body butter or balm is more suitable for those areas. You can still use this lotion all over and add a heavier product only on elbows, heels and shins, or switch to butter at night when you do not mind waiting longer for absorption.

To get more from it in cold weather, apply to slightly damp skin after bathing, because the water-binding ingredients work best when there is already moisture on the surface. Persistent dryness with redness, itching or damaged skin should be checked by a specialist; this is a cosmetic product for care and hydration, not a treatment for skin conditions.
