I have an oily scalp but dry ends — can I use this shampoo without making my roots greasy?

This is a common hair type (often called combination hair), and the formula works well for it if you adjust your technique. Apply the shampoo directly to your scalp and massage with fingertips — this is where cleansing is actually needed. The lather that forms will naturally run down the mid-lengths and ends as you rinse, giving those drier areas a gentler cleanse with the coconut oil's smoothing benefit, without depositing excess oil near the roots.

If you find your scalp gets oily quickly, you can also alternate this shampoo with a lighter, more clarifying formula every other wash. The Dr.Sante coconut shampoo lathers well and rinses cleanly, so it doesn't leave a heavy residue that would accelerate buildup at the roots.

For the ends, follow with a conditioner or mask concentrated from mid-length down. The shampoo's role here is to clean the scalp thoroughly while being gentle enough not to strip the older, more fragile parts of the hair shaft.
