I have a sensitive scalp. Can I use this spray on my scalp and roots?

Because the product contains ginger essential oil and is fragranced, it may not suit everyone, especially if you react easily to essential oils or perfumed cosmetics. The product guidance itself says to patch test first and to avoid spraying directly onto irritated skin or into the eyes.

Practical tips if you still want to use it:

  • Spray a small amount on the inside of your forearm and wait a few hours or a day to see whether any redness, itching or stinging appears before you use it on your head.
  • When applying, aim mostly at the lengths and ends rather than pressing the nozzle against the scalp. If you want the refreshing feel at the roots, use one quick, fine mist from a short distance and do not saturate the area.
  • Another option is to spray once into your palm or onto a brush and smooth it through the hair. That reduces how much lands directly on the scalp.
  • Stop using it if you notice burning, itching or redness.

This is a cosmetic product and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have a chronic scalp condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are on medication, check with a specialist before adding a new leave-in product.
