How strong is the warming sensation and how long does it last?

The warming sensation is created by camphor and vanillyl butyl ether, which stimulate heat receptors in the skin. Most people feel a noticeable heat within a minute of application that builds during massage and typically lasts 20–40 minutes before fading gradually. Intensity depends on how much product you use, the area of application, and your personal sensitivity to warming cosmetics. Thinner skin (inner forearm, neck) tends to feel stronger heat than thicker areas like the lower back or thighs. Start with a pea-sized amount for a small zone (e.g., one shoulder) and wait a few minutes before deciding whether to add more. If the heat becomes uncomfortable, wipe the area with a damp cloth — do not rinse with hot water, as that can intensify the sensation.
