How strong is the warming effect, and where should I apply Vitateka HOT Cream?

Vitateka HOT Cream is made for external, targeted use on the body, not as an all-over moisturiser. People usually choose it for areas that feel tense, tired or locally uncomfortable, especially after exercise, prolonged sitting, gardening, outdoor activity or in cooler weather. Common application areas include the back, shoulders, knees and legs.

The heat sensation comes from warming cosmetic ingredients including capsicum extract, camphor and vanillyl butyl ether. Capsicum can give an intensive chilli-like warmth on the skin surface, camphor adds a warm-then-fresh feel, and vanillyl butyl ether is used in cosmetics for a more even, longer-lasting warming sensation. Because of this combination, the cream may feel noticeably hot, especially if you apply too much or use it on sensitive skin.

For first use, apply a small amount to one limited area and massage it in gently. Wait to see how your skin responds before using more. Avoid applying it immediately after a hot shower, sauna or intense exfoliation, because warm skin can make warming products feel stronger. Do not use it on irritated, scratched or damaged skin, and avoid the eyes and mucous membranes.
