The finish is a light-reflecting, metallic-style shimmer rather than chunky craft glitter — the pigments create luminosity by catching light on the skin surface. How noticeable it looks depends mostly on how you apply it and the lighting you are in:
Daytime, subtle: use a small amount and spread it thinly over a larger area (for example the length of the legs or across the shoulders). In daylight this reads as a polished, slightly radiant skin surface rather than obvious sparkle — useful when skin looks a little dull and you want a smoother, more finished appearance with open clothing.
Evening or event: apply a slightly more generous layer, focusing on the high points where light naturally hits — collarbones, shoulders, shins. Artificial and low light exaggerate the reflective effect, so the same product looks noticeably more "cosmic" at night.
Whichever intensity you go for, apply evenly — patchy application is what makes shimmer look unintentional, at any time of day. If you are unsure, start with one thin layer, check it in the light you will actually be in, and build up only where you want more emphasis. The glow rinses off in the shower, so a stronger evening application does not commit you to anything the next morning.
