The Fosta 410cz-3 combines an elastic body with a built-in elastic rib, and both parts depend on the condition of the elastic fibres. If the fabric is exposed to high heat or aggressive washing, it can lose tension and the rib can become less effective. Correct care starts with checking the product label for any specific washing instructions; if the label does not provide them, these general rules apply to most elastic supports.
Wash the support by hand in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or strong cleaning agents, as they can break down elastic fibres over time. Do not wring or twist the support to dry it; gently press it inside a towel and then lay it flat out of direct sunlight and away from radiators or tumble dryers. High temperatures can shrink the fabric and reduce the level of support.
Make sure the support is completely dry before wearing it again, especially for longer periods or on sensitive skin. If you use it daily, consider rotating two supports so each one can air dry fully. Replace the support when the elastic feels visibly loose, the Velcro no longer grips well, or the rib no longer holds its shape.
