Use the mask on clean skin, ideally after cleansing and before applying heavier skincare such as cream, facial oil or sunscreen. If you use toner or a lightweight hydrating serum, those usually go before a sheet mask; richer products are better applied afterwards to help seal in moisture.
Apply the sheet evenly so it sits close to the skin and follow the time stated on the product packaging. As a general sheet-mask rule, do not leave the mask on until it becomes completely dry, because a dry sheet can feel uncomfortable and may reduce the pleasant hydrating effect. After removing it, gently pat the remaining essence into the face and neck if your skin tolerates it well.
This mask can be useful before makeup when skin looks tired, because humectants such as sodium hyaluronate and glycerin help the surface feel smoother and more moisturised. It can also be used in the evening when the skin feels dry or tight, followed by a moisturiser to support the barrier with ingredients such as ceramides and squalane.
Avoid applying it over irritated, broken or freshly exfoliated skin if your skin is stinging or reactive. If you use strong actives such as exfoliating acids or retinoids, it is usually sensible to keep the rest of the routine simple on the same day, so the mask can focus on hydration and comfort.
