How should I use this shampoo, and how often?

Start with wet hair. Squeeze about a coin-sized amount into your palm, emulsify it briefly, and massage it into the scalp with the pads of your fingers. The scalp is where buildup and excess oil collect, so spend the majority of your washing effort there. Do not scratch with your nails, and do not pile the whole length on top of your head — that can tangle hair and spread shampoo unevenly.

Let the lather travel down the hair shaft as you rinse. If you have dry ends, you do not need to apply shampoo directly to them; the diluted foam that runs down is enough to cleanse them lightly. Rinse with lukewarm or cool water. Very hot water can strip the hair and make the skin more sensitive to active ingredients.

As for frequency, there is no one rule. For most hair types, two to three times a week is enough. If your scalp tends to be oily, daily washing can be acceptable, but with this formula it is wiser to start slowly because of the capsicum extract and essential oils. The first application may produce a warming sensation on the scalp. That is a normal skin reaction for some people, but if it becomes strong or the skin feels irritated, rinse immediately and reduce the frequency or the amount used.

If you have a diagnosed scalp condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are being treated for a medical condition, talk to a doctor or pharmacist before integrating this shampoo into your routine.
