Start with clean skin, ideally after a shower when your skin is warm and the oil spreads evenly. Pour a small amount into one palm, rub your palms together, then apply it to the body. Because this is a plant-oil massage product, it glides more slowly than a light lotion, so begin with less than you think you need and add more only where the skin feels dry or where you want longer strokes.
Use broad, slow strokes on large areas such as legs and back, and smaller circular movements around shoulders, elbows and knees. The oil is meant to stay on the skin after the massage, not to be rinsed off. If you applied too much, wait a few minutes and then pat off the excess with a towel. It may take a little time before the skin feels fully dry to the touch, so avoid sitting on or wearing delicate fabrics immediately afterwards. Be careful on bathroom or tiled floors after use: oil left on the surface can make it slippery.
For a calmer evening ritual, you can use it as a simple aromamassage oil, letting the natural coconut scent be part of the experience. Store the bottle closed in a cool, dry place and keep it out of direct sunlight, as oils can slowly change when exposed to heat and light.
