How should I use the Victoria Beauty after-sun sheet mask in my skincare routine?

Use the mask on clean facial skin, ideally after gently removing sunscreen, sweat, salt water or impurities. Open the sachet, unfold the sheet and place it evenly over the face, smoothing it so the serum-soaked fabric makes close contact with the skin. Avoid getting the serum into the eyes or applying it to irritated broken areas. Leave it on for the time indicated on the product packaging; with sheet masks, it is generally better not to let the fabric dry completely on the face, because a dry sheet can start to feel tight rather than comfortable.

After removing the mask, you can gently pat the remaining serum into the skin instead of rinsing, unless your skin feels uncomfortable or the packaging says otherwise. If your skin still feels dry, you may apply a simple moisturiser afterward to help keep the hydration in. Since this mask already contains hydrating and soothing ingredients such as glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, aloe vera juice and niacinamide, there is no need to layer it with strong exfoliating acids, retinoids or other potentially irritating products immediately after sun exposure.

This mask can be used when your skin needs extra comfort after time outdoors, but it does not replace sunscreen. During the day, continue using appropriate sun protection and avoid further sun exposure if your skin already feels overheated or sensitive.
