This mask is intended for evening facial care, especially when your skin feels dehydrated, looks tired, or has lost some bounce. A practical way to work it into your routine is:
Cleanse your face first, so the mask sits on clean skin rather than on makeup or daily grime.
Apply a thin, even layer, following the directions on the package for how long to leave it on and whether to rinse it off or remove the excess with a tissue.
Keep the mask away from the eye area, since the skin around the eyes is thinner and needs products designed for it unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
Use it in the evening, because the formula contains retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative.
If you are new to vitamin A cosmetics, start slowly: once a week is a reasonable beginning. If your skin tolerates it without redness, dryness, or irritation, you can increase to twice a week. Using it more often does not speed up results; it mainly increases the risk of irritation.
On the nights you use the mask, avoid layering strong acids or harsh scrubs on top. The next morning, apply a sunscreen with SPF. Sun protection is a good habit for everyone, but it is especially relevant after evening vitamin A application.
If your skin feels tight, stings, or becomes red during use, wash the mask off and pause. For sensitive or reactive skin, a patch test on a small area, for example behind the ear or on the jaw, is a sensible first step before applying it to your whole face.
