How should I use and store the bar so it lasts well?

Wet the soap and your skin, work up a lather in your hands or directly on the body, then wash the areas you want to cleanse. Rinse thoroughly with water so no slippery residue remains on the skin. After sports or sauna use, it can be helpful to rinse away heavy perspiration first, then lather and rinse again if you want a more thorough clean.

To keep the 180 g bar in good condition, place it on a draining soap dish or a raised holder after use. Hard soap lasts better when it can dry between washes; leaving it in standing water can make the surface soften and wear down faster. In a shared bathroom, it is also practical to rinse the bar briefly after use and keep the soap dish clean.

For travel to a summer house, gym or sauna, let the bar dry as much as possible before packing it. If you need to carry it while still damp, use a soap box that can be cleaned and aired out later. Avoid storing the bar in a sealed wet container for long periods, as this can make it mushy and less pleasant to use.
