Because the formula relies on plant extracts and oils without synthetic preservative systems like parabens, it's more susceptible to degradation if contaminated — avoid dipping wet fingers into the bottle; pour or pump the needed amount into your hand instead. Most rinse-off conditioners of this type carry a period-after-opening (PAO) symbol of 12 months (an open jar icon with "12M"). For a 200 ml bottle used 2–3 times a week on mid-lengths and ends, you'll likely finish it well within that window. If the texture separates, develops an off smell, or changes colour, discard it even if it's before the PAO date.
