How should I store the conditioner and what's the shelf life after opening?

Store the bottle at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (like radiators or a sunny bathroom windowsill). The flip-cap or pump closure should be tightened after each use to limit air exposure, which can oxidise the baobab oil's unsaturated fatty acids over time. Because the formula relies on plant extracts and oils without synthetic preservative systems like parabens, it's more susceptible to degradation if contaminated — avoid dipping wet fingers into the bottle; pour or pump the needed amount into your hand instead. Most rinse-off conditioners of this type carry a period-after-opening (PAO) symbol of 12 months (an open jar icon with "12M"). For a 200 ml bottle used 2–3 times a week on mid-lengths and ends, you'll likely finish it well within that window. If the texture separates, develops an off smell, or changes colour, discard it even if it's before the PAO date. Keeping the bottle in a cool, dark cabinet rather than the shower stall extends freshness.
