To keep your Sattva Tulsi incense sticks in good condition, store them properly. Moisture and direct sunlight are the main enemies – they can make the sticks lose their scent or burn unevenly. Keep them in their original packaging or transfer them to an airtight container, such as a glass jar with a tight lid. This also prevents them from absorbing other odours from the environment.
Place the container in a cool, dry spot – a cupboard, drawer, or shelf away from radiators, ovens, or windows. If you live in a humid climate, add a small silica gel packet to the box to absorb excess moisture. Do not store them in the bathroom or near a sink, as humidity can affect their performance. Proper storage helps the sticks burn evenly and release their scent consistently.
When you need a stick, take out only the one you plan to use and close the container again. This keeps the remaining sticks fresh for a long time. If the sticks become damp or lose their scent, they may not burn well – in that case, it is safer to replace them.
