How should I safely dilute this pear aromatic oil for skin and bath use?

Since Medikomed Pear Aromatic Oil is a concentrated aromatic product, it must never be applied directly to the skin in its pure form. For cosmetic use, such as scenting a neutral body lotion, cream, or carrier oil, it is best to start with a very small ratio—often just 1 to 2 drops per 10–20 ml of base product. This allows you to achieve a subtle, fruity fragrance without risking skin irritation from the concentrated molecules. If you are adding it to a bath, do not drop the oil directly into the water, as it will float on the surface and may come into concentrated contact with your skin. Instead, mix the drops into a solubilizer first, such as a tablespoon of sea salt, honey, or a small amount of unscented shower gel, before dispersing it into the tub.

When creating your own blends, remember that this oil is chosen for its olfactory qualities rather than skin-active effects. Because it is a fragrance-focused product, a patch test is essential before wider application. Apply a small amount of your diluted mixture to the inside of your elbow and wait 24 hours to ensure no redness or itching occurs. This is particularly important if you have reactive skin or are mixing the pear oil with other fragranced cosmetic products. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes, and do not use the product internally. Consult a specialist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have chronic skin conditions.
