How should I safely dilute and apply this aromatic oil to my skin or bath?

Medikomed Wild Strawberry Aromatic Oil is a concentrated fragrance product and should never be applied directly to the skin in its pure form. To use it safely, you must dilute it into a carrier or an existing cosmetic product. For body lotions, creams, or massage oils, a common approach is to add 2 to 5 drops of the aromatic oil per 50ml of the base product. This ratio is usually enough to provide a distinct berry scent without being overwhelming or irritating to the skin. If you are adding it to a shampoo or shower gel, you can mix a few drops into the portion you are about to use immediately.

When using the oil for a bath, do not drop it directly into the water, as oils do not dissolve in water and will float on the surface in concentrated droplets, which may cause skin sensitivity. Instead, mix the oil with an emulsifier first—such as a tablespoon of sea salt, honey, or a small amount of milk—and then stir that mixture into the bathwater. This ensures the fragrance is distributed evenly throughout the tub. For hand or foot soaks, 3 drops mixed into a liter of warm water is typically sufficient. Always perform a patch test by applying a small amount of your diluted mixture to a discreet area of skin, like the inner wrist, and waiting 24 hours to check for any reaction. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Consult a specialist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have chronic skin conditions.
